ThriveMore is very pleased to announce that after a very competitive national search, Mike Brady has been selected to serve as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective in February 2024. Mike is currently the Chief Executive Officer for Hospice of Chesapeake, a not-for-profit organization based in Pasadena, Maryland and the state’s largest independent hospice provider, with annual revenue of $50+ million and serving over 1,600 hospice and palliative care patients daily. Mike joined the organization as Chief Financial Officer in 2017 and was promoted to CEO in early 2020. Hospice of the Chesapeake experienced considerable growth under his leadership, including more than doubling the amount of individuals served and increasing revenue by $12+ million.
Prior to joining Hospice of Chesapeake, Mike served as CFO of National Lutheran Communities and Services located in Rockville, Maryland, a not-for-profit with three senior living campuses and two home health agencies during his tenure. He joined National Lutheran as Controller in 1998, became the Director of Finance in 1996 and was promoted to the organizations first CFO in 2011. Mike was instrumental in the tremendous amount of growth the organization experienced while he was there, including his involvement with a major repositioning of an existing campus, an acquisition and integration of a new campus, and the development from the ground up of yet another.
Mike brings tremendous strengths in senior living finance, strategic planning, campus growth and repositioning, board partnerships, and providing support with fundraising efforts. A licensed CPA in Maryland, he is married to Stacey, an ordained Lutheran minister who most recently has served as a chaplain for multiple retirement communities, and they have two adult children. Please join us in welcoming Mike and Stacey to the ThriveMore community!
